Professional painters pay strict attention to edges to ensure they are neat, and to make sure there are no accidental splatters. Paint cleaners for brushes and roller paint supplies are a must on your list. Also, don’t forget your coveralls and other personal clothing protection!

Personal safety should not be forgotten when painting with dangerous paint supplies. Make sure you have ladders that are stable and usable, not broken. Respirators and dust masks should be used in unventilated areas and all areas should be well lit if you are inside. Put these items on your list if you don’t have them.

By doing a bit of pre-planning and preparation, thinking about your painting project, and making a list of all paint supplies, you can limit your trips to the local home store or internet website.

It doesn?t matter what you do as long as you do something. Choose what you enjoy, not what you hate. You know your body the best.

The three key points to being fit and fabulous are:

Mental?this has to do with assertiveness and attitude
Physical?this has to do with diet and exercise
Spiritual?this has to do with image, appearance and conduct.

You may not list them in that order and think they have all those components, but believe me, they are all part of it. No matter what you do, unpleasant experiences come into your life. How and what you do daily allows you to cope with the disasters and enjoy the highs.

Throughout the many moves I?ve made to date, a few things seem to hold true no matter if you are moving down the block or to a foreign country.

For starters, always make sure you can actually afford the financial expenses (and time) that typically come with moving. Even if you are just renting a house, there a lot of cost factors to take in consideration. You?ll have your new rent, damage deposit, hook-up fees, installation fees (if services are not in place), potentially the cost of hiring a mover, or a van that you?ll drive yourself. There can be expenses with new furniture, appliances, building maintenance fees and cleaners (this could mean a maid, carpet cleaners, etc) potentially for both your old and your new place.

Always get more boxes than you?ll think you will need! If your estimated number of boxes is around forty it?s a smart idea to try to get at least sixty.

Eherenreich was assigned the task of
going into the workforce and experiencing, first hand, what poverty
was really like. This is where my skepticism began. I never thought
she could do it. I almost laughed to myself. “Survival of the
fittest”, I began to think– They would feed her to the dogs and she
would be eaten alive within a week. Her strength and determination
soon demonstrated to me just how wrong I was about her, as it did her.
I believe she did not think she would make it either, although in her
perception she had indeed failed. Determination, however, goes a long
way. When you are forced into a certain way of life, I guess you just
have to accept it and adapt to it.

Applying for a housekeeping position, she acquired her first job as a
waitress, (due in part to the fact that she was white), at a place
called Hearthside.

Before you go out shopping for your wheel chair lift van, arm yourself with these tips. They?ll help you avoid the costly mistakes so many people make. Keep in mind when going to any dealership, usually, you?ll be pitched hard and fast on what they think you should buy. Avoid getting talked into buying ?extras? you really don?t need.

Here are some important items to take into consideration when buying your wheel chair lift van:

? Ideally, you want your van to be tested beyond FMVSS safety requirements.

? If the wheelchair user will be driving, they must be capable of seeing well from the driver side.

? Issues such as hearing and sight ability along with ability to make quick decisions and depth perception of the wheel chair user (if driving) need to come into play as to what make and model of van you buy.

? Take into consideration whether the wheelchair user will be driving the van or will simply be a passenger.

? The type of wheelchair being used by the wheelchair user is important to note.

Do not use flea & tick shampoos unless your pet needs them, they can dry out your pets skin. Be sure to rinse your dog thoroughly, leaving soap on skin can cause problems. Bathing a dog with knots & mats will worsen them, be sure to eliminate these before or immediately after the bath.

When drying your dog use low heat. Dogs are sensitive to burning, keep this in mind while adjusting water temperature. Bathing your dog will cut down on chances of infestations of fleas & ticks. Place cotton in your dogs ears before bathing. Often water in the ears can lead to ear infections. By washing away dead hair, regular bathing reduces shedding of your dogs coat.

Keep your dogs ears clean.

Do this with dog ear cleaner bought from any pet store. Put a small amount of ear cleaner on a cotton ball and swab outer surface of the inner ear.

Hey – how about those White Sox. Their well is dry for 88 years, all the way back to World War I, 1917 to be exact. Then – Kazaaaam, they sweep the series in four straight games.

There are a lot of reasons they won this year.

They have a great manager and in case you don’t follow baseball, his name is Ozzie Guillen. When the game was over the 41 year old manager didn’t go jumping up and down with his players, he said, “I have to respect the other team.” A class act!

For the White Sox – the winning didn’t come easy. They scratched and scraped for every win.

They had unbelievable pitching.

They had an incredible defense.

They had superior hitting.

They even had some good calls from the umpires.

They won 16 of the last 17 games.

Catcher A.J. Pierzynski said, “They were calling us chokers,
now they can call us champions.”

In 2005 the Chicago White Sox were complete to compete.

How about you. Do you have what it takes to do what it takes
to knock the wind out of your competitor’s sail? Are you really up to swimming with the competitive sharks in your territory?

Do you have a system for working new leads?

Do you have a system for making appointments?

Do you have a system for qualifying your prospects?

Do you have a system for quantifying your prospect’s pain?

Do you have a system for presenting your products and solutions?

Do you have a system for dealing with the price objection?

Do you have a system for preparing sales proposals?

Do you have a follow-up system?

Do you have a system for securing the commitment?

Do you have a system for getting referrals?

If you don’t have a system you may not be complete to compete
for the rest of 2005 and throughout 2006.

You’ll get a lot of ideas from my new “Are You Complete To Compete” CD.

Midweek briefing …

0 Comments | Tribune – Review / Pittsburgh Tribune – Review, Sep 1, 2010

The New York Times recorded one of the largest public gatherings in years in Washington — Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally — with a small photo at the bottom of its Sunday front page and a story on page 15. Had this been a Keith Olbermann-led gathering of 500,000 “progressives,” you can bet it would have dominated The Times’ cover.

… In a ruling sure to be headed to the U.S. Supreme Court, California’s notorious 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals says police in the circuit’s nine western states can, as Time magazine reports it, “sneak onto your property in the middle of the night, put a GPS device on the bottom of your car and keep track of everywhere you go.” Until the high court reverses this clear violation of your Fourth Amendment rights, look for an influx in the sale of mirrors (with long handles) and guns (so property owners can most effectively express their Second Amendment rights, if you catch our drift). … USA Today reports that government “anti-poverty programs now serve a record one in six Americans and are continuing to expand.” Will these programs be pared back as the economy rebounds? If past is prologue ..

It takes a firm, but kind, word to someone who messes up. It takes the ability to foster a feeling of belonging among those who are in your business family. Sam certainly did all of these things and he worked tirelessly to ensure his executive and management teams did also.

Store Managers were invited, and expected, to have an impact on the whole organization and not just their own store. If she made a request there were only two acceptable outcomes. 1) The request was granted and a date for completion was to be given or 2) The request was not granted and the reasons were explained. It did not stop there if the Store Manager was not satisfied with the outcome. She was never expected to settle for an answer that did not satisfy her. The process that ensued was one of open and on-going dialogue until either the Store Manager became convinced and was satisfied with the reason that her request could not be granted or she managed to convince her Manager that the request should be granted. It wasn?t over just because someone said it was over.

And the company flourished.

The safety zone should also be an area that is easily controlled by the amusement ride operators/attendants. The safety zone is for the personal safety of the amusement ride operators/attendants while the ride is in motion, and should never be left while the ride is in motion, or before it has come to a full stop.

The safety of the amusement ride operators/attendants and that of their riders is equally important. Unsafe riding practices are the major cause of incidents on all types of rides.
Rider responsibility should be encouraged, and the amusement ride operators/attendants can play an important role in this. Safety instructions should be clearly posted at the entrance to the ride and the amusement ride operators/attendants should strictly enforce all of them.

It is especially important to reach out to the parents of young children and to enlist their help and support in promoting safe riding practices and in enforcing all safety instructions.

? Be alert to unsafe conditions that could cause trips or falls on the ride platform or steps

? Be alert to unsafe conditions that could cause injury

? Always check that seat belts or safety restraints are fastened and locked in place before the ride starts

? Be careful not to close the door or restraint on any part of the rider?s body while the riders are getting on or off of the ride

? If there is even a suspicion that a rider is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, they should not be allowed them

? Remind riders to follow the posted rules for the ride regarding age, height and/or weight restrictions

? Be sure to alert pregnant women and people with heart conditions to possible risks involved in using the ride

? Remind riders to keep hands, arms, legs and feet inside the ride at all times

? Remind riders to remain seated until the ride comes to a complete stop

If there are any problems with a rider or parent because of ride restrictions or behavior, amusement ride operators/attendants should not operate the ride.
